Those
jobs we hear about that Americans don't want -
it's not the jobs but the pay. Henry
Ford got modern times going by increasing his
workers pay so they could afford a car - maybe we
should try to produce a little prosperity by
increasing the minimum wage.
If
more, say, computer programmers are available (via
immigration), doesn't
economics say each one will get less pay, assuming
he can find a job. If we don't import programmers,
we'll have to increase the pay so more people will
want
the job.
If
you're already breaking the law by hiring illegal
workers, why bother following worker protection
laws? And if I'm an illegal
worker, why should I bother paying taxes? I may
even put a drain on the economy by sending money
home.
Diversity
minimizes the probability a culture will die
because of overspecialization.

maximizes the number of conflicts within a society
- evolution says those conflicts make us stronger.
Most
wars are fought to protect one's culture, but
too many migrants can transform a culture as much
as losing a war.
